Re: technical information about denuder installation
Dear Teresa, basically the only thing you need is a holder where you can fit the length of denuders you need to get to a residence time of about 1second. The denuder holder shall be connected to the sampling head on the upstream side, and to the sampler inlet on the other side. In principle this is ...

oven for volatility-DMA
Hello everyone,
could somebody tell what brand/model of oven he/she is currently using for non volatile particle number size distribution measurements?
Something that goes up to 340°C minimum, I would say.
Thanks in advance.
Cheers,
JP

Re: EC/OC-denuder
Dear Michael, ACTRIS recommends multi-channel activated carbon monolith denuders (as described in our General Recommendations). Residence time in the denuder should be 1-2 seconds. It's currently difficult to find carbon monolith denuders in Europe. Aerosol d.o.o in Slovenia used to sell 40 mm diame...

Re: PM10 sampling head for AE33
Hi Véronique,
the 50% cut-off diameter of sampling heads depends on the flow rate (of course).
Is the AE33 the only instrument sampling from this line ?
If not, what is the total flow rate in the line?
Cheers,
jp

compliance with CEN / TS 16976
Hello,
is the "TSI Model 3750-CEN" the only CPC currently on the market that is fully compliant with the CEN/TS 16976 technical specifications?
Thx a lot for advising.
Cheers

Re: level 2 flags
Hi Angela, I was wondering as well... ... and then I decided to flag the hourly data according to the hourly average (for RH and below detection limit). For flag 559 (local contamination), I use a formula to assess if local contamination affected significantly the hourly average. Still I agree that ...

Integrating Nephelometer TSI 3563 status flag
Hello everyone, we get sometimes 0x64 status codes from our Integrating Nephelometer TSI 3563. Converted to "binary", 0x64 = 0000 0000 0110 0100 (using the number format as in the Table on page 6-23 of the TSI 3563 manual). According to the manual, this would mean 'Pressure out of range', ...
