Dear all,

I'm interested in your experiences with the Zero check/cal of the Aurora 3000/4000.
- How often and how long do you run the zero check?
We made the experience that especially the Aurora 4000 with Kalman Filter needs at least 90 minutes for a clean zero. Hence we are runnning our zeros every 2-3 days.

Thanks,

Christian

Dear Christian,

My apologies for replying that late - I have discovered this forum a bit late.

90 minutes definitely seems too long.
Is the 90 minutes for the 4000 only?
How many angles are you running? If you are using 18 angles then the worst case time would be 40 minutes. Usually 30 minutes is sufficient.
For the 3000 it is recommended 20 -30 minutes.

It could be that the zero pump is leaking and not generating enough zero flow.

Another possible explanation would be if you have changed the number of angles and the Kalman filter has not been updated for that number of angles. If the Kalman settings are not correct for the number of angles, then we have seen it take a long time to respond. This is one of the limitations of the Kalman on the 4000 that we are aware of and working on fixing.

Hope this helps - let me know.

Best regards,
Jost
