technical information about denuder installation

Dear all,

I need some technical information on installing the denuders on the sample head.

In the ACTRIS recommendations it is stated that they shall be installed downstream of the sampling head and upstream of the filter holder.

but technically how do you install them? Can they be installed on already assembled lines?

Thanks,

Teresa

Dear Teresa,

basically the only thing you need is a holder where you can fit the length of denuders you need to get to a residence time of about 1second.
The denuder holder shall be connected to the sampling head on the upstream side, and to the sampler inlet on the other side.
In principle this is all feasible, more or less easily depending on the possibility to access a mechanical workshop.
You may also ask the company who delivered the sampler to make a denuder holder and the connectors if you clearly specify your needs.
To help further, we would need more details like the technical drawing of the sampler (or at least the brand and model so that we can look at it on the web).
Please keep on interacting till this issue is solved, as it may be interesting for many other future NFs.

Ciao,
