Difficult Problems with TSI Neph3563

Post by briel_MOHP »

Hello together,

We have some problems with our Nephelometer (TSI, Model 3563 integration Nephelometer).
The Scatteringvalues (forward and back) jumps up of more than thousand or falling down, far under zero. The Measured Value is absolutly stable, even if i using a Zerofilter or measuring Roomair. It is a stable Plateau far obove Zero or under Zero.
I can kalibrate the Instrument, is no problem. All the Values are well, it seems the instrument is fine! I did send a Screenshot from the Kalibration (TSI Software) with all Values to TSI and they found nothing.

We have two TSI Nephs. If I using both Intruments at the same time, the resaults are very interesting. The Rawcounts (Photons) are very close together. At the same Time, the Scattervalues jump up oder down to the Plateau. :?:

Does anyone know these mistakes and can help us?

Regards Björn

hello björn,

you had already described this problem a while ago.
however, I need an exemplary time series of all device readings, especially the dark and shutter counts, in order to make any kind of statement.

otherwise, send your device to the next neph workshop and keep your fingers crossed that we can reproduce the error.
